Why Buy A Bullerjan stove?

The Bullerjan ® is based upon a simple yet effective idea. Each Bullerjan ® Wood Burning Stove is constructed from bending hollow steel pipes to form the firebox. This is done in such a way that the majority of the pipes surface area is within the belly of the stove. This provides a large surface area to heat the air inside the pipes so when lit, the air becomes rapidly heated causing it to rise, drawing in cooler air from the bottom setting up a flow of piping hot air. This results in a circulation of warm air that is distributed quickly throughout the room.

This movement of heated air means the room is warmed evenly and avoids 'hot spots' usually associated with wood burning stoves.

It has been called '...a hot air pump with no moving parts!'

Further, the position of the air in-take is key to the rapid build up of fire and the Bullerjan ® 's fast heating qualities. To light the fire some paper and or fire lighters with some kindling and larger pieces of wood are placed in the stove. Once lit, the draw of the chimney pulls air into the firebox and because of the low positioning of the air intake, air is pulled across the embers. Boy scouts blow on the fire's embers to increase the spread of fire and blacksmiths use bellows to achieve the same thing. The Bullerjan ® does this by design.

Size and Capacity.

Bullerjan ® come in six size capacities; 6, 11, 14, 20, 35 and 45 kW. Because of the high hot air output of these wood burning stoves they punch above their weight in terms of space heaters. For a given kilo-Watt rating a Bullerjan ® warms a larger volume of air - meaning a smaller stove (therefore less chopping ands splitting of wood) for a given space!

The largest is capable of heating a 1,300 cubic meter room. The larger sizes are intended for small industrial use; workshops, studios and large spaces can be heated with off cuts and longer pieces of wood (see length of burn chamber specification on the technical stuff page).

Good Looking!

The best bit, some say, is the revolutionary styling choices. Once you have decided what size stove you require, click here to choose the right size Bullerjan ® , choose the look that would suit and accessorise your stove with a stand and a warm plate if so desired.
