Only %5 VAT...! Explain?
Approved by HM Revenue and Customes that for the Supply AND Installation of a Bullerjan Wood Burning Stove qualifies for reduced rate VAT... A saving of 15%.
What are the Pipes For...?
Thats's how the stove warms the room. The curved pipes make the firebox, they get warm very quickly and heat the air inside which rises and draws in cooler air from beneath and so setting warm air convection.
Why so different...?
Bullerjan was designed to heat a space (lumberjack log cabins in the Rocky mountains) really quickly by convection. Most other stoves are predominantly radiant heaters. The design follows the form...
Is it easy to control...?
Yes. The Bullerjan has two air inlets. The Primary air is at the front and is controlled with the flap. The secondary air is pre-heated and comes in at the top in front of the baffle - (see inside) and cannot be adjusted.
What are the panels for...?
Three reasons; first is functional - to trap the radiated heat and use it to warm the air in the gap betweem the panel and stove for additional convected hot air. Second, is as a heat shield so that the radiant heat is reduced and third is for looks, You can make the Bullerjan look to suite a traditional or modern setting.
Is it quicker than another stove type..?
A Bullerjan can be loaded with lighters, kindling and some logs, lit and left to establish and should warm the room enough to notice in about 20 Minutes. They are easy to light and quick to establish.
How do you clean it out..?
Wood likes to burn in its own ash, as you'll know from having a bonfire in the garden. So let a bed of ash build up taking out the excess as necessary. This might be every 2-3 weeks depending on use. Before each lighting stir the ash to let the air get in it which also helps it burn off. Leave 2-3cm of ash when cleaning out.
When do you use the damper...?
The damper should be adjusted if you have too much draw. You'll get used to using your stove and get familiar with this like you would on any stove.
Will it 'stay in' over night...?
Usually not. That's because the firebox is not insulated unlike that of some stoves that might 'stay in'. However, because the fire establishes and warms rapidly, the Bullerjan is likely to warm a room just as quick from cold as another stove might having been damped all night.
Bullerjan burns wood within a firebox made from curved tubes.
Air in the tubes warms rapidly and rises drawing cooler air in beneth which sets up warm air convection.
This distributs the warmth evenly and quickly around the room.
Also, side panels trap radiant heat and make more convected hot air.
